Airplane Rides at the Fly/In Cruise/In

1929 New Standard Biplane

B-17G Flying Fortress

Have you always wondered what it would be like to ride in an open cockpit bi-plane?  Bring along your family and friends and re-live the days of the barnstormers by taking a ride in this rare 1929 New Standard D-25 flown by former NBA Basketball player Rob Lock of the Waldo Wright Flying Service from Columbus, OH.  This aircraft  was built specifically for barnstorming with a 4 passenger open front cockpit. There were 72 of these aircraft originally built and only 4 remain airworthy today.

Experience the thrill of open cockpit, vintage aviation for only $45.00 per person at this year's Fly/In Cruise/In.  For more information regarding rides in this airplane, please contact  Ray Johnson.

This year's Fly/In Cruise/In will feature the B-17G "Yankee Lady" from the Yankee Air Museum in Belleville, Michigan.  This B-17  was one of 12,731 manufactured. The B-17 Flying Fortress was the largest heavy bomber of it's time before and during much of WWII. Today approximately 50 survive in museums worldwide, and fewer than 12 are maintained to flyable status.
